Aged in 25% new French oak for a total of 18 months in barrel, the 2019 Laurelwood Pinot Noir from Ponzi impresses with everything it has to offer. Medium ruby core with an orange rim in the glass and aromas of wild blueberry, cranberry, Bing cherry, dried cedary herbs, pine forest floor, and toasted cinnamon are all present and wonderfully integrated. Expressive on the palate with lovely red and blue fruit and hints of spice, it finishes with mouthwatering acidity, sweet rounded tannins, and a long finish. 300 cases were made. Highly recommended.
