HAZELFERN Pinot Noir, Laurelwood District ‘Three Cedars Vineyard’ 2021

About 15% whole cluster was used during fermentation which gives it some added structure and body. It’s aged for 14 months in 23% new French oak and gifts a glimmering neon ruby core with a light pink rim in the glass. A phenomenal bottle of Pinot Noir, it zings on the nose with aromas of bright Bing cherry, mountain huckleberry, sliced rhubarb, grated clove, Blood orange zest, and cedary herbs. Perfectly balanced with no rough edges to speak of, it’s a perfect combination of red fruit, sweet spice, rounded, elegant tannins, and a lengthy finish that goes on for minutes. 215 cases made. Highly recommended. $60 96 Points 2023-2033
