Always one of my favorites from Gard year after year, this 2022 Freja blend comprises 74% Viognier, 22% Roussanne, and 4% Muscadelle. It’s really good and showcases what a good winemaker can do with these varietals in Washington State. Boasting scintillating notes of roasted pear, white tea, white peach, dried mint, crushed stone, and sweet baking spice, it has excellent tension, a medium to full body, and a lovely stone fruit and spicy finish. What an incredible wine for the price point. 1410 cases made. Editor’s choice.
