The 2020 Phantom Lamb is 100% Syrah from the Lawrence Vineyard and was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Sporting a deep purple core with a neon blue rim in the glass, it’s a fragrant and gorgeous wine that pops in the right places. Aromas of blackberry, green olives, toasted clove, bacon fat, and scorched herbs combine to form a palate that brings flavors of charred meat, spiced blue plum, anise and singed dried thyme. Very meaty on the finish to start, but it quickly evolves into grapefruit citrus and spice at the very back of the palate. Enjoy this wine over the next 7-8 years.
