Aged for 22 months in large format French oak puncheons, with 85% being new, the 2021 The Stall Syrah gifts a medium, moving to dark, purple core with a bright red rim in the glass. Sweet boysenberries, candied black cherries, dried thyme, olive brine, smoked beef ribs, and cracked green peppercorn are all present. Alcohol is elevated at 15.2% but the wine’s balance hides it. Delivering a sweet blue-fruit and bitter herb finish, this should drink well for the next 8-10 years. 125 cases made.
