ANDREW JANUIK Mourvedre, Royal Slope ‘The Sorcerer’ 2021

Dark purple core with a lighter purple rim in the glass, the 2021 The Sorcerer is a lovely Mourvedre coming from the Royal Slope. Notes of smoked black pepper, savory herbs, blackberries, sliced blue plums, dusty road, graphite, and dried sage create a complex and exciting wine that deserves some attention. Crunchy tannins, moderate acidity, and a full-bodied mouthfeel complete the wine.
