95% Syrah and 5% Viognier make up the 2021 Cairdeas Syrah, which boasts a medium to dark purple core with a medium ruby rim. It’s a meaty, complex, and structured Syrah that brings notes of boysenberries, blue plum skin, tangerine pith, cedary herbs, grilled beef ribs, and mounds of fresh and dried flower petals. The palate is wonderfully balanced between olive brine and blue fruit flavors, combined with the elegant acidity and sweet, rounded tannins. My favorite of the Cairdeas lineup, which I highly recommend. 366 cases made.
