A compelling blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2016 ‘Chrysologue’ opens with aromas of dried sage, blackberry compote and mocha that all build in the glass. The palate is plush and wonderfully balanced, delivering intense acidity. Red and dark fruits mingle with chocolate and herbal tones on the palate. Incredibly appealing now, this should also evolve well over the next fifteen years.
