Coming from the Figgins Estate vineyard from the northeast of Walla Walla Valley, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot sees a touch of new oak in the aging process, giving some nice oak aromatics and spiciness on the nose and on the pallet. I absolutely love the palate on this wine as it feels perfectly balanced with the prominent flavors of wild blackberry, black plum, vanilla bean, Christmas spices and tobacco leaf merge perfectly with high acidity and chalky high tannins. You could drink this now with a grilled steak but you may be doing yourself a disservice. Give this 2-3 more years and then enjoy it for another 20 years. Highly recommended.
