The John Lewis Syrah looks to be the most impressive Syrah from Gramercy in this vintage, this gorgeous blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier is aged 17 months in 10% new French oak puncheons. The aromas coming from this wine are hard to describe but are fantastically aromatic - think fresh red cherry, blueberry, pink lavender petals, dried poultry herbs, green olives and peppered charcuterie. The palate is very lean and meaty with flavors of black fruits, iodine, blood, and smoked beef ribs. Acid, length, tannins and fruit are all medium plus and are in perfect balance. Highly recommended. Only 105 cases produced
