ECHOLANDS Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley ‘Rubrum’ 2019

Winemaker Taylor Oswald along with Master Somm/Master of Wine Doug Frost have combined to create some incredible new wines coming out of Walla Walla. This new-to-me blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot is a lovely wine to experience. Aromas of ripe wild blackberry, crushed basalt, iodine, dried poultry herbs, and crushed anise seed are all present and prominent. More fruity on the nose, which leads to a savory palate and long finish, this is a wine that will only get better with time.
