PAXSA Grenache, Walla Walla Valley ‘River Rock Vineyard’ 2020

Sporting a light ruby and blue core with a neon pink rim, the 2020 Paxsa Grenache from the Rocks District is a blue-fruited, meaty, and spicy wine that deserves some attention. It sees 15% new French oak during aging and approximately 60% whole cluster during fermentation. Notes of blue raspberry, wild strawberry, peppery herbs, ground pink peppercorn, dried purple rose petals, and some charcuterie tones pop from the glass. Acidity is in the medium range, and the tannins are sweet and well-integrated. This is another fantastic Washington State Grenache that should be sought out for your cellar. Better in 2024. Highly recommended.
