The Pape Blanc from Tranche is always one of my favorites year after year and this interesting blend of Picpoul, Roussanne, Clairette Blanche, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Marsanne is another yummy example of this wine. It rests for 11 months in 10% new French oak and concrete. Apricot, yellow peach, honeysuckle, white mushroom, autumn leaves, and toasted tree nut aromas are all present on the nose. Oily and concentrated on the palate, the flavors of peach, spice, and grilled lemon expand on the finish. 805 cases produced.
