GRAMERCY CELLARS Syrah, Walla Walla Valley 2018

A blend of 99% Syrah and 1% Viognier from the Forgotten Hills, Les Collines, and Holy Roller vineyards that was fermented with 58% whole cluster and aged for 17 months in 6% new French oak. Starting off blue-fruited with blueberries and huckleberries exploding on the nose and on the palate, and then it moves to a more umami character with grilled game, pine forest breeze, and crushed peppercorn. Very balanced with silky smooth tannins and acidity. Drink now or over the next 6-8 years. 931 cases were made.
