The 2019 Echolands Seven Hills Vineyard is a stunning combination of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. In the glass, it sports a medium to dark garnet and purple core with a neon blue rim. A lovely bouquet of crushed boysenberry, milk chocolate, spiced blue plum, Christmas spice, new leather, and just a smudge of cigar box fills this nose. The palate brings additional aspects of chocolate-covered black cherry and crushed stones. Tannins are in check alongside the lovely acidity and earth-driven finish. Better in 2024.
