The lovely 2020 Syrah from Top Source boasts a medium to dark brick-garnet core with a reddish rim and is wonderfully meaty, earthy, and spicy on the nose. The palate is complex and exciting, with aspects of pink grapefruit, fresh marionberry, dried meats, crushed olives, cedary herbs, and shades of blueberry essence on the finish. A well-made, delicious Washington Syrah from a winery that is new to me. Wonderfully surprised by this wine. Only 100 cases made. Better in 2024.
