DEVISON Syrah, Walla Walla Valley ‘Beneath the Stones’ 2021

2
Coming from The Rocks District, the 2021 Beneath the Stones Syrah boasts a dark garnet-purple core with a light orange rim and explodes with aromas of scorched mountain herbs, tobacco leaf, spearmint, grapefruit pith, olive oil, candied orange peel, and spicy ground black pepper that brings it right to The Rocks District. It is aged with 5% new French oak that brings a touch of baking spice and some added structure. Vibrant with a full-bodied mouthfeel, it finishes spicy with a dark-fruit and funky aspect on the back palate. 120 cases produced. Highly recommended.
