The 2021 Moonlapse is a blend of 45% Cabernet, 45% Syrah, and 10% Merlot that is aged for 16 months in primarily neutral oak. Showing a muted medium to dark garnet and purple core with a lighter purple rim in the glass, it boasts aromas and flavors of smoked meat, pink peppercorn, dried sage, crushed blackberries, and shades of orange pith. Crunchy tannins and lovely acidity complete the wine. It’s a fantastic wine for a price point of only $25. About 200 cases produced. Best Buy.
