The 2021 Top Source Syrah was aged for 20 months in 10% new French oak barrels, while the deep ruby-purple core glows under bright light in the glass. Dusty and earthy on the nose to start, it eventually opens up to notes of red and black cherries, marionberries, dry earth, cedary herbs, bacon fat, and crushed olives. Tannins are present but not overpowering while the mouthwatering acidity brings everything together on the long finish. A small production of 95 cases were made.
