Showcasing a deep opaque purple moving to blue core with a lighter purple rim, the 2021 Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon approaches perfection. Give this one some time if you plan on opening soon, or you will need a hard decant or an overnight rest. Starting off with more woodsy characteristics - think forest blackberries, spruce herbs, dusty road, baking chocolate, and wet earth. After a few minutes it evolves wonderfully into black and blue fruit and some orange and red grapefruit zest notes. Masterfully balanced, this one has the stuff to age for decades and will only get better with time. Better in 2025. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
