The 2013 The Tribe Vineyard' Syrah is an absolutely incredible wine made by superstar Vigneron, Christophe Baron. This begins with profound aromatic profile of black cherry, cassis, wild blackberry, crushed gravel and hints of seaweed. At the moment this is showing a bit more weight on the mid-palate with a slightly less stony character than the 'Sur Echelas Vineyard' bottling, and is yielding more dark fruit flavors reminiscent of black forest cake, wild blackberry, blueberry compote and pomegranate with notes of umami, crushed wet rock and a raw meat character. This continues to demonstrate remarkable focus with a complex range of flavors are exceedingly delicious and linger on the finish. Overall, the The Tribe Vineyard Syrah is a beautifully made wine, which will be very long-lived. (Best 2016-2032) - December, 2016 (OB)
