The 2020 Rockblock Cellars Syrah is deep and brooding in the glass, with a dark purple core and a lighter pinkish rim. It has all of those lovely Syrah characteristics that you find from the Southwind Vineyard - think notes of salty olives, dark plum, cedary herbs, and black-peppered charcuterie combined with blackberry fruit, new leather, umami, and iron.
