DOMAINE SERENE Oregon, Red Wine ‘Grand Cheval’ 2020

Every year, I love trying the Grand Cheval from Domaine Serene. Unique in style and presentation, with a blend of 74% Syrah from Walla Walla and 26% Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Boasting a glistening deep purple core with a bright fluorescent pink rim, it’s a meaty and savory effort that has much more of those roasted meat and bacon fat characteristics than previous vintages. Lovely notes of dusty rose and violet flowers, olive brine, boysenberry, blue plum, black pepper, and roasted meats create a wonderful, savory wine. 2247 cases produced.
