I love fruit coming from the Seven Springs Vineyard, and the 2021 Chardonnay from Audeant showcases the terroir perfectly. Aged in approximately 33% new French oak barrels, it gifts a medium lemon core with a watery rim. The structure is elegant but meaty, with lush notes of white nectarine, toasted tree nuts, crushed volcanic stones, honeysuckle flowers, and just a hint of warm vanilla. Complex and wonderfully drinkable, this one will be drinking nicely for a decade or more with proper cellaring. Only 109 cases made. Highly recommended.
