AUDEANT Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley ‘Foothills’ 2021

The 2021 Foothills Pinot Noir is a first for me and showcases the two barrels of the best of the best - one from Luminous Hills Vineyard and one from Cherry Grove Vineyard. There is only neutral oak used, which allows the fruit to really shine through with nothing covering it up. Scintillating aromas of mountain huckleberries, bright Bing cherries, white tea, smashed orange peel, and grated spices pop on the nose. Incredibly textured, it lingers on the palate for minutes after tasting. A small production of only 45 cases made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
