Fermented with 40% whole cluster and then aged in 35% new French oak barrels, the 2021 Luminous Hills Pinot Noir from Audeant is a spectacular effort. Boasting a shimmering, glowing ruby-red core with a bluish rim, it’s rich and lush across the tongue but not in an overpowering way. Blue fruited with secondary notes of sweet toasted cinnamon stick, cedary herbs, and black tea that shines through on the finish. Like most of the 2021s from Oregon, this one is ready to drink now and will age wonderfully for the next 10 years. Only 193 cases made.
