After tasting through 16 different 2021 Pinot Noirs from Domaine Divio, I cannot understate how much I love this vintage from Oregon. Wines that are ready to drink now, but carry the necessary components to age for a decade or more are typical of what I’m reviewing. The 2021 Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir is way better than it’s made to be with perfectly balanced notes of black raspberry, huckleberry, a hint of rhubarb, milk chocolate, cedary herbs, pencil shavings, lemony acidity, and sweet integrated tannins. Lean and rich at the same time, the finish melds those black and blue fruit, alongside white pepper and wet earth components. Highly recommended.
