PONZI Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mountains ‘Laurelwood District’ 2022

A stunning core of light neon ruby with a bluish rim, the 2022 Laurelwood District Pinot Noir from Ponzi exposes massive blue fruit notes on the nose alongside shades of lavender, pink peppercorn, dried mountain sage, and sweet vanilla on the palate. Tannins grip the gums lightly, while the lemony acidity aids in the finish which delivers a lovely spiced blue fruit note on the back palate. Still very young, this one needs another year or two in the bottle. About 7500 cases made.
