The 2016 'Les Dijonnais' Pinot Noir by Brick House shows off its translucent hue in the glass. First made in 1998 this wine was crafted from Pommard clone vines first planted in 1995. The nose is highly gratifying with its earthy undertones that collide with blood orange zest and red cherry candy that all collect momentum in the glass. The palate exudes class with both freshness and weight, literally shedding off all baby fat. Ripe red fruits dazzle alongside bright minerals, citrus rind, forest floor and suggestions of black truffle shavings. The ‘Les Dijonnais’ is outstanding now but will improve with a little time in the bottle.
