LANGE Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 'Reserve' 2016

The 2016 ‘Reserve’ Pinot Noir shows off its deep core and opens with a bouquet of black tea, peat moss and damp earth with shades of wild blackberry on the nose. The combination of weight and minerality is really fantastic as black fruits collide with black tea and gobs of lip-smacking acidity on the palate. This is just sensational stuff from the talented hands of Jesse Lange. While a delight to savor right now, this has both the weight and acidity to cellar well for a decade or more.
