I love the Chardonnays that are coming out of Oregon the past several vintages and Argyle is not only producing scrumptious sparkling wines, but are quickly becoming known for their still wines as well. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels with 23% being new, the wine is showing yummy characteristics of ripe apricots and peach that delivers spicy punchiness on the end of the palate. Contributing some delicious baking spice and vanilla notes, the new oak is also giving the wine a fullness that balances perfectly with the ripping acidity. 397 cases produced.
