SOLÉNA Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 'Grande Cuvée' 2019

Fresh red berries, graham crackers, Cadbury milk chocolate and chopped rhubarb fill the nose on this entry-level Pinot Noir by Soléna. The wine sees about 12% new French oak over 9 months which gives it some nice spicy characteristics to the palate which boasts flavors of red cherry, rose petals and anise. The acid is beautiful, the tannins are present but integrated and for the price, this wine punches well above its weight class. It’s way more complex and delicious than it should be.
