A warmer vintage in 2018 has produced a big, bold Pinot Noir from the Kalita Vineyard. It is aged for 11 months in 33% new, 33% one-year and 33% neutral French oak barrels. It is a bit jammy on the nose, without becoming overpowering and expresses aromas of marionberry-sage sorbet, blueberry, eucalyptus and mace. The palate gives medium acidity, medium tannins and flavors of freshly baked blueberry pie with cinnamon crust and red rose petals. 145 cases produced.
