EVESHAM WOOD Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley ‘Illahe Vineyard’ 2019

Resting for 18 months in 15% new French oak barrels, it displays woodsy characteristics on the nose with cedary herbs, burnt orange, forest moss, and a touch of butterscotch alongside fruit flavors of black cherry preserve, tilled earth, dried mushroom, and blood orange flesh. Like all Evesham Wood wines, acidity falls on the high side, tannins are grippy, and it needs another year or two in bottle to come together. Only 75 cases produced.
