Displaying a medium to deep ruby core with a light purple rim, this wonderful Pinot Noir from the Temperance Hill Vineyard saw 30% French new oak during aging. The palate brings more developed and chalkier tannins than the other Lavinea Pinots with aromas and flavors of huckleberry, dried violet flowers, dark cherry compote, wet earth, and white tobacco leaf. It finishes rich with mouthwatering acidity but still needs a year or two in bottle to come together but then enjoy this one over the next decade or more. 340 cases were produced.
