KEN WRIGHT Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Carter Vineyard’ 2019

Starting off with a bouquet of black tea, licorice, sassafrass, black baked plum, and a hint of graphite on the nose, the wine presents a deep ruby core with a light purple rim. The palate gives blue and black fruit-driven flavors, with toasted baking spices and crushed black peppercorn landing on the mid palate. Like all of Ken’s wines, this one brings racy acidity and medium levels of silky tannins to the table. Best in 2024.
