PENNER-ASH Chardonnay, Willamette Valley 2019

Aged for 10 months, in a combination of concrete egg and new and neutral French oak barrels, it delivers a bright and fresh nose that stuns - think notes of lemon citrus, fresh yellow apple, ripe apricot, white flower petal, and ground almond butter. The palate is a bit more reserved than the nose, but it’s entirely possible tasting a second bottle later, the wine would have time to wake up. Moving to the creamy palate, notes of lemon candy and dried thyme are prominent. Ample acidity, a medium body, and a long finish complete the wine. About 240 cases made.
