DAY WINES Pinot Noir, Van Duzer ‘Johan Vineyards’ 2018

Fermented with 30% whole clusters and aged for 22 months in a combination of neutral and once-used French oak barrels and boasts interesting notes of dried marionberry, old saddle leather, dark cherry cassis, cigar box, and a hint of scorched earth. It’s starting to show some aged characteristics (dark chocolate, tobacco) but in a good way, and should continue to drink well over the next 5-6 years.
