The Willaimson-Doré Syrah is fermented with partial whole-cluster fruit and is aged in 41% new French oak barrels, which gives it some much-needed tannin structure and spice. A dusty nose that elevated into aromas of ripe red cherry, strawberry fruit leather, iron ore, ground black pepper, and hints of charcuterie spill from the glass. Herbaceous and meaty on the palate, the tannins are already integrated into the rich and somewhat sweet-feeling finish. 271 cases made.
