The 2021 Gamay from Hazelfern is aged for 12 months in all-neutral French oak. I adore Gamay wines, and I am always eager to try these limited wines from Oregon. A glimmering medium ruby core with a pink strawberry rim in the glass, classic aromas of fresh Bing cherry, red raspberry preserve, crushed pink peppercorn, and stony minerality integrate beautifully. Bold red fruit flavors dominate the palate, while it finishes with juicy acidity and a fresh cherry candy note. Only 100 cases produced.
