ARTIST BLOCK Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2021

Aged for 10 months in about ⅓ new French oak barrels, the 2021 Artist Block Pinot Noir sports a neon ruby-brick core with a lighter pink rim in the glass. The Artist Block wines are new to me, and I’m glad I found them, as they are downright delicious. Aromas of crushed raspberries, Bing cherries, lemony herbs, and lemon zest pop on the nose, and mineral and sweet spices dominate the palate. Sweet tannins and citrus acidity hit the back of the palate, leading to a long and juicy finish. Only a small production of 70 cases were made.
