ET FILLE Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley ‘Kalita’ 2021

Aged in 40% new French oak and 20% one-year French oak barrels for 11 months, the 2021 Kalita Pinot Noir from Et Fille was my favorite of the lineup. A gorgeous shimmering medium neon ruby-purple core with a lighter pink rim, it pops with aromas of red and black cherries, crushed ripe marionberries, fennel fronds, toasted spice, and cedary herbs. I loved how the wine moved across the entire palate on the finish, with its sweet, smooth tannins and perfected acidity. Only 181 cases produced.
