PURPLE HANDS Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley ‘Le Nouveau Monde’ 2022

The 2022 Le Nouveau Monde Pinot Noir from Purple Hands was aged for 10 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Displaying a glistening red ruby core with a light purple rim, it offers up bountiful aromas and flavors of black cherry pie, sweet baking spice, new leather, freshly turned earth, vanilla bean, and shades of toasted nuts. The palate is concentrated but not heavy, although the tannins need a year in bottle to soften up a bit. I loved the floral note I got on the finish.
