The 2018 Knight’s Valley Zinfandel is a structured and full-bodied effort that starts off with a medium ruby-purple color in the glass and starts with notes of candied blue plum, dried blueberries, mountain sage, bitter herbs, and powdered pink peppercorn. The palate is starting to show tertiary notes of wet earth and leather, but it’s still lively and young on the finish. Just 160 cases were made.
