The 2021 Gap’s Crown Chardonnay from Three Sticks rests for 11 months in 23% new French oak barrels and is always one of my favorites from the Three Sticks lineup. A glistening light to medium lemon and gold core with a watery rim in the glass, it expresses notes of white peach, sliced green pear, crushed and grilled citrus, and plenty of white wildflower aromatics. Lovely acidity helps balance the lush fruit flavors on the finish. Drink now or over the next 7 years. Just 530 cases were produced.
