A glimmering bright ruby core with a water rim in the glass, the 2021 Ribbon Ridge Origin Series is aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak barrels before bottling. I adore the nose on this wine - think notes of blue raspberry, red plum skin, toasted allspice, and hints of fresh mint and crushed volcanic rock. Earthy aspects of green olives and crushed wet autumn leaves take up the finish. Tannins are in check with the perfect levels of acidity, it finishes with this spice and briney component on the back palate that is wonderfully unique. About 450 cases produced.
