Vines from the Pisoni Vineyard that are over 39 years of age make up the fruit for this impeccable Chardonnay that is aged sur lie for 16 months in 60% new French oak. Featuring a light to medium gold-lemon core with a watery rim in the glass, this dazzling wine offers notes of white nectarine, yellow apple skin, honeysuckle flower, brioche, yuzu essence, sweet baking spice, and wet crushed stone. The palate conveys a round and full mouthfeel that is balanced wonderfully with the high levels of acidity and the fruity yet herbaceous mineral finish. Give this another year or two in bottle before enjoying, and you will be richly rewarded. Only 125 barrels produced. Highly recommended.
