The 2015 marks Red Car's foutrh release from Hagen Vineyard. The vineyard sits high above the edge of the continent, fully facing the cold Pacific Ocean. This Pinot Noir is a selections of Calera, 777 and 115 clones, which spent 15 months in 17% New, 83% Neutral oak. The wine itself begins with vivid aromas of black cherries, red currant and blueberries which are woven together with exotic spices, forest floor, vanilla blossom, violets and wet stones, which all take shape beautifully in the glass. Medium-plus bodied and well balanced with a lovely velvety texture that is driven by a core of bright red fruits that leads up to the long, juicy finish. While this is already fantastic, it shoud also continue to drink remarkably well over the next decade.
