The 2014 'Parussi' Barolo from Massolino begins with absolutely gorgeous aromas of dark cherries and dried strawberries which are woven together with spices, tar, florals, leather and eucalyptus all soaring from the glass. On the palate this displays excellent structure, with striking overall balance and focus. It continues to impress with its incredible purity and precision all the way through the ultra-long finish. This is a drop-dead gorgeous Barolo, which although is already utterly captivating today, and will without question only become more compelling as it enters it long evolution.
