The 2017 Catena Alta Chardonnay is sourced from the Adrianna Vineyard (Lot 1) and Domingo Vineyard (Lot 7). It spent 14 months in 45% new French oak barriques. It begins with inviting aromas of sliced apples, citrus, honey suckle, salted almond and hints of jasmine all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and richly textured, with just enough acidity for balance. Flavors of orchard fruits, citrus and honey blossom continue to linger through the finish. A lovely chardonnay to drink upon release.
